To get scanning credit, your device needs to be able to communicate with our servers. If you don't have a good signal, connecting to wi-fi can help. If you use a wi-fi network, check to see if there are terms you need to agree to. You can do this by accessing a web page on the network. If you're asked to agree to something, you must do so in order for the app to communicate with our servers.
We are also always working to extend the app's offline capabilities. If you complete scans in offline mode, there are a few things to note:
- If you completed a walk-in or scan while you had poor connectivity, you have to get reception within an hour to get kicks. After an hour has passed, we’re not able to award kicks.
-In some cases, a scan may run out of kicks while you’re still offline. Unfortunately, when a scan runs out, it means that we’ve given out all of the kicks that we’re allowed to distribute, and we can’t give any more.
- In some cases, you may have already hit a scan limit that we can't detect until you come back online.
Unfortunately, in some locations, it's just not possible for our system to authenticate the signal, but we hope this info will help you get the most out of this feature.
